The Vienna PhD School of Informatics offers a three year programme with an intense period of supervised study and research, culminating in the submission of a thesis. The PhD School's curriculum covers the five main research areas of the Faculty of Informatics
* Business Informatics
* Computational Intelligence
* Computer Engineering
* Distributed and Parallel Systems
* Media Informatics and Visual Computing
Application deadline for courses starting in October 2010 is May 7th, 2010. Each year up to 15 students will be awarded a scholarship amounting to EUR 1.000 per month, to cover the cost of living. Female applicants are explicitly encouraged to apply. Preference will be given when equally qualified.
