Permanent "Smart Grid" position at the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya, Barcelona

The Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya, an advanced research center established in Barselona (Spain), is devoted to fundamental and applied R&D related to the physical and lower layers of communication systems. At present time the CTTC is interested in filling the following Research Associate position in communication technologies:

Research Associate Position:

Intelligent Energy (Ref. 1/2012-2, 1 position): The candidate must hold a PhD degree in electrical engineering or related disciplines, and have research experience both in analysis and simulation in the area smart grids. The following specialization areas of interest: control theory, smart grids, wireless communications. The researcher will contribute to the research lines of Smart Grids and, apart from theoretical developments, will also supervise practical testbed designs.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants for Research Associate positions must be very motivated, hold a PhD degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer science, power engineering, or related fields; capacity of carring out innovative research as well as experience in research and publication record. Practical experience and work experience in internetional and national R&D projects carried out in the context of R&D institutions is highly appreciated.

Conditions

The position is permanent. The rank and salary, in the range 34,000-37,000 euro/year (gross), will be determined according to qualifications and work experience.
