M.Sc. (Tech.) Mikko Hakala will defend the dissertation "Atomic and electronic transport on surfaces and interfaces" on 24 January 2014 in lecture hall C, Otakaari 1, Espoo. In the dissertation, electronic properties of silicon-hafnia interfaces and the effect of charging of metal atoms on insulating surfaces was studied.
