Researchers in Gothenburg have been using 3D technology from the film industry to analyze the everyday movements of stroke patients. The results, which are reported in a doctoral thesis at the Sahlgrenska Academy, indicate that computerized motion analysis increases our knowledge of how stroke patients can improve their ability to move through rehabilitation.

Ann E. Towns, Henrik Zetterberg, Staffan I. Lindberg and Sebastian Westenhoff. These are the names of the four researchers from the University of Gothenburg who have been appointed within the career programme Wallenberg Academy Fellows. The programme was initiated by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation and provides long-term funding for promising young researchers in all disciplines.
Master's student, Jonathan Moy de Vitry, from the MSc programme in Innovation and Industrial Management came 2nd place in the national "Nytt&Nyttigt" competition, which is run by VINNOVA and Esbri. Jonathan won the prize for his thesis "Innovating out of the Fishmeal Trap" in competition with 75 other entries.
